How to Unlock New Content in Final Fantasy Patch 6.4

Final Fantasy XIV recently received its long-awaited update, The Dark Throne, and a new main scenario quest is finally here, alongside a lot more new content! In this article, we’ll guide you through how and where to unlock all the new content and features that came out with FFXIV Patch 6.4.

What’s New in Patch 6.4?

Being the fourth patch to follow the Endwalker expansion, Patch 6.4 is a major one that packs a lot of fresh content. This includes continuing the main scenario, new dungeons, trials and raids, other side quests, and more additional content. Following is a breakdown of all the new quests, dungeons, raids, and trials added in the recent patch, alongside details on where and how to find them:

 

Main Scenario Quest – The Dark Throne

  • Quest Name: Currying Flavor
  • Location: Varshahn at Radz-at-Han – Dharma – Meghaduta (x:4.5, y:9.9)
  • Requirements: Gods Revel, Lands Tremble (6.3), Lv. 90 Disciple of War or Magic

The main quest in the recent patch 6.4 continues the main scenario quest from where it was left off in the Gods Revel, Lands Tremble quest in the last main patch (6.4).

 

Expert Dungeon – The Aetherfont

  • Quest Name: Main Scenario Quest
  • Location: Old Sharlayan (X:13.9, Y:16.0)
  • Requirements: Going Haam, Item Level 605

The Aetherfont is a brand-new level 90 dungeon that was added to the game in the recent patch.

 

Trial – The Voidcast Dais

  • Quest Name: Main Scenario Quest
  • Location: The Voidcast Dais (Zone) (X:6.1, Y:6.1)
  • Requirements: Abyssal Dark, Item Level 615 (630 for extreme)

The new Trial added in the recent patch is a level 90 main scenario trial that comes alongside an Extreme variant.

 

Raid – Pandæmonium: Anabaseios

  • Quest Name: Eater of Souls
  • Location: Erichthonios at Labyrinthos (X:8.6, Y:27.5)
  • Requirements: Truth Imperfect (6.2), Item Level 615 (630 for Savage)

Pandæmonium is an 8-player raid with multiple sections, and Anabaseios is its third and final section. It also comes in a Savage mode.

 

Side Quest – Faerie Glamour

  • Quest Name: A Faerie Tale Come True
  • Location: Thubyrgeim at Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X:4.7, Y:11.4)
  • Requirements: Forgotten but Not Gone (2.0), Lv. 30 Scholar

A side story quest relating to the well-known character Thubyrgeim.

 

Side Quest – Tataru’s Grand Endeavor

  • Quest Name: Aggressive Expansion
  • Location: Mehdjina at Old Sharlayan (X:11.8, Y:9.8)
  • Requirements: Forever at Your Side (5.5), Small Business, Big Dreams (6.15), Lv. 90 Disciple of War or Magic

Another side story quest relating to the Tataru’s Grand Endeavor Questline.

 

Island Sanctuary – An Ideal Marriage

  • Quest Name: An Ideal Marriage
  • Location: Curious Courier at Unnamed Island (X:12.4, Y:28.7)
  • Requirements: A Far Eastern Yarn (6.3)

In addition to the quests mentioned above, a ton more new content can be easily unlocked, including a new Unreal Trial (The Containment Bay Z1T9), Ocean Fishing Routes (Ruby Route), and new mounts.
